AUS ROLE

AUS was engaged by ESC’s FAD Program, tasked with getting 6 historic roads projects to market in 6 months from appointment. This involved taking previous Concept Designs ranging in completeness (50%-100%) and planning and scheduling their most efficient utility design and relocation. We proposed early works relocations that enabled the projects to start, and which benefited the eventual construction of the overall works. AUS undertook the Contestable utility designs (Water, Electrical and Street Lighting) and obtained certification from the relevant utility providers, and for the non-Contestable utilities (Gas & Comms) obtained designs and Letters of Offer/Scopes of Works ready for the Contractor to simply make payment on their appointment to get the works undertaken (D&C). This was done whilst the TfNSW project team & Technical Advisors (TA) who had 2 projects each (Jacobs, Aecom & Turnbull Engineering) developed the remaining Detailed Design (roadworks, structures, ITS, etc.)
